Cube Shelf Makeover

Quick Cube Shelf Makeover

I have been a painting fool this week and once I start, it’s really hard for me to stop.  The biggest project I have been tackling this week is my son’s bedroom makeover.  His room was in dire need of fresh paint and has been a HUGE undertaking.  I am still not finished, but I hope to reveal a sneak peek next week.  Until then, I thought I would share a quick cube shelf makeover I did in the living room (while I was literally waiting for paint to dry in the boy’s room).

This cube shelf is about 10 years old now, and like all the other black accessories in my home, it is soooo 1990’s.  This baby either needed to go bye-bye, or needed a makeover.  Well, as you know, I hate wasting things, so a makeover it was.

All it took was a good dusting, 3 quick coats of white spray paint, and a bit of accessorizing to turn it into something fresh and new.

Once the shelf was hung, the whole piano area was given a good cleaning and decluttering.  The shelf accessories were from my #MayMantel, as are the candlesticks.

It turned out so cute that now I want to refinish the piano and the book shelf next to it so everything coordinates and looks new again.  What color should I paint my old piano?  Give me a shout out!  I would love to hear your opinion.  Happy spray painting!
