It’s officially 2015, and I am ready to get rid of Santa Claus, the red accents, the ornaments, and all things Christmas related. Here is the pallet garden after a good Christmas emptying.
Of course, monetarily, I am all tapped out after spoiling my little brats rotten. So, I am not spending a dime on this project.
The greenery and lights from the previous Christmas pallet garden were kept, but a few more greens and pinecones from around the yard were added to create a bit more depth and texture.
Then, it was out to my dump of a garage to see what kind of crap I could dig up. The pallet theme was going to be winter white and green and the hunt was on. After climbing the ladder and dropping the box marked ‘Winter’ on my big fat head, I managed to find a few things.
The white flowers are an old dollar store purchase, while the green berries and sign came from a craft store. All cheap and easy to find. Mix it up. Use whatever catches your eye.
The items were then added to the pallet in a way I found pleasing to my eye. Just as I was about to take the final picture, my boxer puppy decided to rearrange it in a way that was pleasing to her eye.
She took off with a whole section of décor in her slobbery, little jowls and made me chase her around the slippery, dog bombed yard.
I am too embarrassed to say how long it took me to catch the little devil, but I did finally capture her and a pic.
How do you decorate outdoors after Christmas? I would love to hear your ideas!
